First of all, the event planner must meet with clients in order to understand the purpose of the event they are organizing. Following the clients’ instructions is a must and come up with a theme or idea for the event in question. Then, the scope of the event must be planned , including time, location, and total cost. The event planner solicit bids from service providers and venues. The venues are inspected to ensure that they meet the clients’ requirements and the coordination of event services such as delivery access, transportation, food service and timeliness. The event planner also monitors event activities to make sure the client and event attendees are satisfied. In the end, even planners need to review bills and approve payment.
As you can see, a lot of hard work is involved and proving that you have what it takes to take on an event is important.
